Friends of the Austin Public Library

Our Mission

The Friends is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Austin Public Library.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the group is to increase the number of Austin citizens who take a profound interest in the Library's activities, to promote reading and literacy in the community, and to raise awareness of the Library's digital resources.

Donate Books and Other Media to Recycled Reads

To donate books and other suitable materials to the APL bookstore, drop them off at the Faulk Central Library at 800 Guadalupe Street in downtown Austin, any branch library, or call Recycled Reads at 512-323-5123.
